Andris Kalnozols

Andris Kalnozols (b. 1983) is a Latvian writer. Graduated from Latvian Academy of Culture. He is the co-founder of the experimental puppet and object theater troupe, stage director and actor. He is the author of the plays "The Best Man in Tahkuran" (2013), "The Gasoline Man" (2015), "Yesterday is Always the First Day" (2016) and their performances. In 2012, his staged fairy tale "Puss in Shoes" was nominated for the Spēlmaņu nakts award in the category "Best performance of the year for children and teenagers". He started writing in 2001. His first work, the novel "The Calendar is Me", was published in 2020. The book gained great popularity and was highly praised by literary critics. The novel was republished 5 times in 1.5 years.
