David Jishkariani
Davit Jishkariani (b. 1986) Georgian journalist, writer, historian. Graduated from Tbilisi Javakhishvili State University. Explores new and recent history. Jishkariani's main areas of interest are the history of the Soviet Union, Stalinism, nationalism and colonialism. He writes columns in Georgian and foreign press. The author's work of ten years is stored in the historical-documentary book "From Leather Cloak to Leather Ball" which can be read in one breath. While writing the book, Jishkariani studied the archives and analyzed dozens of interviews. The book was awarded the prestigious Georgian "Saba" literary prize (2022).
