Kristine Grigoryan has included in the book the best family traditions, national cuisine and recipes that were handed down to her by her father and mother. Moving to the United States, delicious memories helped to maintain a connection with her motherland and paternal heart. She collected all the recipes of her mother and grandmothers, first prepared them for the family, and then wrote them down.
The book includes traditional and modern recipes, and festive and everyday dishes prepared by grandmothers. In about a dozen chapters, the author presents in detail the recipes of snacks, soups, cakes, drinks, salads, and pies, as well as different methods of making chir. In the last chapter, Traditions and Rituals, the author writes about her childhood New Year, Easter, Trndez, festive dishes, khash and khashlama, traditions of the pokhind and delicious buns with different fillings.
Kristine Grigoryan has a unique biography. She is from the province and is a historian. She taught history in Gavar and co-authored several educational manuals. Kristine also was a TV presenter. She lives in Colorado, US, and works in the medical field. Kristine also likes to take photos, is engaged in painting, and creates handicrafts.

In "Traditional Dining Table: Aromas, Flavors, Memories from Gavar", the author presented all the recipes, from the traditional "Kyavar" beetroot, and Pakhlava, to the familiar "Matnakash", with a detailed method of preparation and necessary ingredients, gram by gram.
The presentation of the book will take place at Newmag / summerfest, on June 22, 6 pm, in the Presentation Zone, the entrance is free. There will be a special treat from the author, and the book will be sold at a special discount during the festival days.
