In the hottest time of this summer Newmag presents the most discussed CIS bestseller - “All the Kremlin’s Men”. This book is considered to be one of the most scandalous books of recent years. The author of this book is Russian journalist Mikhail Zygar. Bo

“All the Kremlin’s Men” presents the history of modern Russia throughout Vladimir Putin’s presidency from 2000-2015.  The book includes historic documents, open sources, dozens of exclusive interviews. The author claims that he interviewed people, who have close relationships with Vladimir Putin. “In this book you can find interviews with Kremlin staff members, members of government, MPs of State Duma, businessmen from the Forbes list and foreign politicians.”

The facts, events, intrigues and the opinions altogether shape the whole image of life in the Kremlin. For the first time, those discoveries help to unpack the logic behind Vladimir Putin’s transformation. Why and how the liberal pro-western president of the 2000s turned into an authoritarian leader, who is also one of the biggest antagonists of the West. This book will particularly be interesting for those, who aim to learn more about modern Russian politics and Putin’s external and internal policy-making processes.

The author of the book is the editor-in-chief of Dozhd TV channel. In 2014, Mikhail Zygar received the International Press Freedom Award. For 10 years he has been the correspondent of “Kommersant” newspaper, covering wars and revolutions in Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan. He was the deputy editor-in-chief of the Russian Newsweek.

This informative and yet cold-hearted book refers to a number of unanswered questions. When did the Kremlin ideologist Alexander Voloshin learn to tolerate Lenin? Why was the political immigrant Boris Berezovsky not invited to the royal wedding? How did the wealthiest person in Russia - Mikhail Khodorkovsky, lose his business and freedom? How did the head of Kremlin Administration Dmitry Medvedev create a new Russian social class?

Did the Russian politicians in 2000 know what they would achieve after 15 years of ruling? No! Did they know in 2014, how they would meet 2015? No, they didn’t. The author assures that after reading this book there will be no questions unanswered.

The book was translated into Armenian with support of the TRANSCRIPT translation program of the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation and in the scope of the Oracle Armenian-Russian book series. A combination of facts and intrigues, which encompass the real image behind the closed doors of the Kremlin. The book presentation of Mikhail Zygar’s “All the Kremlin’s Men” book will be on 7th of July on Armenia TV.
