New bestseller by Mark Manson. “Models: Attract Women Through Honesty” (Trailer in Armenian)

Exactly 10 years ago, 27-year-old Mark Manson wrote the book “Models: Attract Women Through Honesty,” published it and started selling it on Amazon, as well as on his website. Barely a few hundred copies were sold in the first month. The buyers were mostly followers of his blog. Months later he supplemented the book with new chapters and republished it.

Today, Manson, a 37-year-old American author, blogger and entrepreneur who received his education as a financier at Boston University, is the author of 3 bestsellers. He admits: the key to his success is the “Models: Attract Women Through Honesty.”“The book began to live its own life. Without marketing, publicity and advertising, without the stupid T-shirt I produced with Photoshop, and the sales figures were growing every month.”

From the very beginning, the writer decided that the book should have an attractive style. He had read almost all the books about dates and did not like them, and he realized that his work would be ideologically different, it would be profound, more personal and emotional, and the text would have had a bit of an artistic tone. “I wanted it to have an eye-catching style. I wrote the book in 3 months. I wrote most of it in Europe, in modest hotels and small apartments. First London, then Bristol, Prague, St. Petersburg and finally Budapest, where I finished it completely. But I wanted to spread my ideas around the world, and, most importantly, leave my mark in the field of dating.”

Over the months, the book spread like wildfire, infecting people's brains and then infecting others. Mark Manson connects the success of the book with his traveling experience. As he wrote, he realized that he would succeed because he had worked with hundreds of men from all over the world and noticed that dating problems were only a small part of their personal life. According to Manson, most of their problems are emotional, rooted in their inability to start a close relationship. It comes from low self-esteem, which is due to the lack of attention of women. The purpose of this book is to help create a new model of masculinity, a new image of a responsible, attractive and determined man in a relationship with a woman.

The basic ideas of the book apply to all people, regardless of gender or orientation. The author wants to show the young reader, to explain what an attractive, honest and mature man of the 21st century is. The old standards should be reviewed: the characteristics of protector and provider, strong and resistant. According to Manson, now it is necessary to raise the bar, to create more pleasant and desirable features. For this purpose, he studied social psychology, absorbed theories of attractiveness, read research on sexuality, attended nightclubs, browsed books on neuro-linguistic programming and cognitive therapy, and participated in self-improvement seminars.

Manson wants us to rethink our feelings and actions. The “Models: Attract Women Through Honesty” will teach you to be armed with ideas and values that will form the basis of feelings, the lack of which any young person has felt. “First, Western culture is undergoing major social and emotional changes. A new type of masculinity is being formed. It is the first time that a whole generation is experiencing uncertainty, unable to formulate what a real man is, what he should be like, how he should express himself. There is no clear answer to these questions.”

The book was translated into Armenian by TV journalist Avetis Harutyunyan, this is his first experience as a translator.
