2020 was a year that terrified us, isolated and killed many people around the world. We have encountered all of these uneasy moments because of the coronavirus pandemic. Paolo Giordano’s book tells about the deadly consequences of the virus and our irreversibly changed life. Gnel Nalbandyan, the editor of the book, quotes the author: “Let’s put our emotions aside and put an emphasis on rationality.” Gnel Nalbanyan mentions that the book is written in a diary-style and gives a precise review about it.

Combining scientific articles, doctors’ opinions, official data, and coronavirus numbers, Giordano analyses the spread of Covid-19. As a bonus to the Armenian edition of the book, Newmag also included two articles on the coronavirus written by Jewish historian and philosopher Yuval Noah Harari.
Giordano’s bestseller provides an in-depth analysis of this health crisis, but besides the health sector, the author also reminds us about the political and socio-economic aspects of the crisis.
