The delegates of the Goncourt Academy will arrive in Armenia for FrancoFest2024

On the occasion of founding the "Goncourt Armenia" award and to participate in the special festival, the chief delegate of the Goncourt Academy, Françoise Rossino, and jury member, the famous French writer and philosopher Pascal Bruckner, are arriving in Yerevan. This cultural milestone was made possible by the joint efforts of newmag, the French Institute, and the UFAR.

The special guests of the festival will spend two days in our country. They will be hosted by Armenian TV stations and will present the importance of the Goncourt Award and the purpose of their visit. On October 12, at the Francophone content festival, the guests will deliver speeches.

Françoise Rossino is the chief delegate of the Académie Goncourt and has made significant contributions to the development of French literature. Since 2015, she has held the position of chief delegate of the Goncourt Academy, coordinating the entire selection process for the Goncourt Prize.

One of the guests of Francofest, Pascal Bruckner, is a French writer and one of the most prominent philosophers of our time. He gained recognition in the 1970s and 1980s for his critiques of French society and culture. Bruckner is the author of many books and regularly writes for Le Nouvel Observateur.

The other member of the delegation is writer, singer, and songwriter Ulysse Manhes, known for his works on the culture and literature of Central Europe. His show, Voix d'Europe centrale, focuses on French culture and explores the contributions and influence of various authors and artists on European culture. The artist also combines his literary skills with music.
