An abstract innovator who brought geometric images to art and made them invaluable works of art. Malevich is the universal name of this square, this line, this point, this triangle and not only this painting. He introduced the alphabet of Suprematism to t

Kazimir Malevich was born on the outskirts of Kiev to a Polish family. He was the first of 14 children. His father was the manager of a sugar factory, and seeing his father's sufferings, the young Malevich decided to become an artist. “It is a good job. There is no need to swear at the workers, there is no need to drag the weight, the air smells with paint, and not with powdered sugar, which is very harmful for health. A good picture is expensive, and you can paint it in just one day.

Decided and implemented. In August 1905, Malevich came to Moscow to study at the College of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. But he is not accepted. He does not want to return home, he settles in the artistic commune of Lefortovo. The next 2 attempts to enter the college were not successful. Ten years later, the art world was talking about Malevich, whose unique ideas and innovative images would become brilliant examples of abstraction.

It was then that Malevich proposed a new form of painting - Suprematism. In his paintings he wanted to make art without borders, rules, but he had an idea and content, refusing to copy reality. And as an example he gave to art his "Black square", which left classical art in the past. Malevich writes dozens of theoretical works, including the monograph “On New Systems in Art.” In the book “Black Square” published by Newmag, Malevich explains and substantiates his decision, presenting his idea of the development of art. Here are his articles, manifestos and declarations of all times. Malevich discusses the creation of new systems in art, presents the Declaration of the artist's rights, and raises social issues, such as the economic situation of the artist.

Malevich insisted. “Painters have to throw away the plot if they want to be pure painters.” Following Malevich, art critic Alexander Benoit writes: “Undoubtedly, this is exactly the icon that the futurists offer instead of the shameless veneers of the madonnas.”

The translation of the book “Black Square” was carried out with the support of the Russian literature of the “Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation” within the framework of the “Orakul” Armenian-Russian series. The TV presentation of the book will take place on December 24, at 10:15, within the framework of the “Good Morning” program of Armenia TV.
