The "Now I Know in Part" book authored by Paul Ignatius sums up his memories about personal and professional achievements. This book is about war and peace; it is about us - human beings. As an Armenian-American, Paul Ignatius held the highest state posit

Ignatius served as a commissioned lieutenant in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He has served in the Navy of the Pacific ocean. He was the secretary of the Navy during wartime. He was also the president of the "Washington Post" newspaper. Moreover, Ignatius took part in the American policy-making of the Cold war. Paul Ignatius's father was a teacher who escaped from the Ottoman empire because of the liberal literature he had.  

Newmag published the memoir of one of the most prominent Armenian-Americans with the support of Aurora Humanitarian Initiative. In the book, Ignatius recounts the Cold War years when he worked for the Pentagon. The book "Now I Know In Part" tells about one of the most influential families - the Ignatius family, or about one of the most prominent Armenians, and about a whole era of military and political life and most importantly, about the Armenian-Americans.

Ignatius was the president of one of the most influential newspapers in the United States - the Washington Post. For seven years he has worked with the 8th minister of defense of the U.S. - Robert McNamara. McNamara had a huge impact on Paul's life and career. There is a special section in the book, where Ignatius recalls the details of their partnership and friendship. 

Painter Zabelle Boyajian was a good friend of Paul's mother - Eliza. She was the one that painted the portraits of Raffi and General Andranik. Paul Ignatius recalls his childhood and adolescence years with special warmth in his heart. Those were the years when William Saroyan and Ruben Mamulyan visited their house in Glendale.

The book tells the story of our ancestors, who lived in the United States. It represents their stories and also refers to the cases, when Armenian-Americans decided to be silent about their arduous journey and the genocide. In his "Now I Know in Part" book, Paul Ignatius tells about his family, which survived the Hamidian massacres, lived in England and then moved to the United States. Ignatius also recalls his time at Harvard University and the U.S. federal government.
