The TV presentation of “I'm Happy” and "Tsipili, Timbaka, and Laughter" kids’ books (video)

In 2023, Newmag and “Yeraz Projects” presented the “Yeraz” series for kids. During the year, companies will publish books for children. 6 books have already been published. Saghatel Harutyunyan's novel "Tsipili, Timbakan and Laughter" is for children aged 9-12. Back in the 80s, it was a bestseller not only in Armenia but also in Russia. Artak Harutyunyan, Saghatel Harutyunyan’s grandson, who was present at the Show, emphasizes that the reason for the success of this book is the moral messages that the author conveyed to the little reader.

"This is a novel about kindness and presents an Armenian environment, the kind that is rarely found in children's books. In the Soviet years, it was published twice, and each time 20 to 30 thousand copies. 100,000 copies were printed in Russia alone. I often come across comments on social media and forums where people say that it is their favorite book. This means that the fairy tale has not lost its modernity».

Artak Harutyunyan is honest: he is going to write the second part of his grandfather's book. Saghatel Harutyunyan was also known for his translations. The first Armenian translation of “The Little Prince” is his handwork. VTB Bank Armenia joined Newmag to republish this book. According to Nare Tadevosyan, Head of Marketing and Public Relations, this is the first cooperation with the publishing house. “I think it will be continuous and we are happy that our cooperation begins with children's books because the development of education in the country is also important for us. VTB Bank Armenia understands we must educate tomorrow's generation with such quality books. We are always on the side of such projects".

According to Gayane Harutyunyan, Public Relations Manager of VTB Bank Armenia, fairy tales should be the basis of children's upbringing. “This genre is very important, because first the parent reads the tail for the child, then the child starts to read it, and then he/she starts to read it for his/her child. There is advice in any fairy tale, and in this case, the advice to children is to be kind and honest”.

The next book of the “Yeraz” series is “I am Happy”. It is for the 3+ age group, the author is Mariam Khlghatyan, who also made the illustrations for the book. “When my daughter was a newborn baby, I had a great desire to create a book just for her. I was inspired by my family. Years ago, there were very few such paintings, that's why I filled the gap. In the book, I have conveyed the feelings that we experienced with my daughter, nature, and love because happiness is in the details. Now I already read the book to my son”.
