TV presentation of Kazimir Malevich's book “Black Square” took place (video in Armenian, photos)

The square that rejected the old and became the beginning of the new. Square which became a real manifesto, the main work of the 20th century. Newmag Publishing House together with the Armenian-Russian "Oracle '' series presents the book by Russian avant-gardist, constructivist, founder of Suprematism Kazimir Malevich on understanding art. According to art critic Armen Yesayants, this is a useful publication.  “We delete academic art, we start a new one, and that's the black square. The business card is the beginning of the country and the whole Russian avant-garde, the beginning of abstractionism.”

Malevich's other red square on his chest, the artist reminds, "Black square" was originally created as the decor of an opera performance. Malevich later painted a total of four “Black squares.” Malevich first presented it as a canvas in 1915 at the 0.10 Futuristic Exhibition in St. Petersburg. A square, which in fact is neither black nor a square, adds the art critic. “Different colors have their images. This is not so square, the sides are equal. There are several versions of what it means, the main point - this work signals the nothingness of everything, it is the zero point. It's against a white background, it's a thing that speaks of white and black, like an old woman with a constant contradiction of nature.”

How did it happen that “Black square” simply became one of the main works of the 20th century. A work of art or a protest, a masterpiece or the result of good PR? Malevchich's “Black square” is one of the most criticized and discussed works. And the author of that work wrote and explained what art is, emphasizes the editor of the book's translation, Armen Amirkhanyan. “Malevich not only covered his previous art with hunger, but also nullified his previous art, there is nothing about it in the book, but he constantly rejects the image: what we see, we touch. “Black square” was not just a canvas, but a rebellion.” 

Malevich's supremacy was the advantage of color over all other elements.”Black square” was placed in the corner of the room during the first exhibition, where the icons usually hang. The author himself called his canvas an icon. The scientific verifier of the book Arman Gharagulyan mentions that it is now in the Tretyakov Gallery, it is estimated at 20 million dollars.  “It is possible to draw a purple cup, but you have to give a 400-page reason why it is important. As soon as we can, maybe we will sell. He painted, then proved with 400 pages why his work is a masterpiece.”

Kazimir Malevich destroyed the old art. The end of his mystical life and the last creation was his burial. It was a mass performance in which Malevich presented himself as a futuristic attribute.
