This book is for young people and those adults who deliberately leave the door of memories of the past open to adulthood, so that they can mentally return there. Over one million copies of the book have been sold in the CIS. The translations of "Manyunya" occupied the highest positions. It was nominated for the “Big Book” award. The audiobook of this fiction is considered to be one of the most popular literary works among children. Now it is time to have it on screen.
Both in the film and in the book, the actions take place in Armenia in the 1980s. The series will tell about the friendship between two families from different Soviet nationalities. The key fact is not necessarily the nationality or the birthplace. Rather, it is important to emphasize that this story is about common people that lived next to us. “Manyunya” series consists of 10 episodes, each of them 24 minutes long.
The creative team behind the series includes producers Ghevond and Sarik Andreasyans, scriptwriter Hayk Asatryan, director Arman Marutyan. The main characters are played by actresses Katya Temnova and Karina Gahramanyan. Narine Abgaryan personally took part in the working process of the movie. “I got the chance to meet the actors, they were simply amazing. I also met the director and scriptwriter, who were very respectful toward the work. I am eager to see the results.”
The movie is released thanks to the efforts and support of one of the biggest Russian production companies- Okko. Narine Abgaryan’s “Manyunya” is the first work that brought Okko to Armenia. In fact, Armenia is the 5th country, excluding Russia, where Okko is represented.

The Armenian audience can watch the movie premiere with Narine Abgaryan, producer Ghevond Andreasyan, actress Julieta Stepanyan and the creative team of the movie. Ten years after the publication of the first book, everyone can take part in the premiere of the long-awaited movie screening.
The premiere of the first two parts of “Manyunya” will take place on October 20, 19:00, at Moscow Cinema. The movie premiere will be followed by book signing.
