Newmag presented the book “No-Drama Discipline” during a live broadcast on Armenia TV. This guide serves as a roadmap for understanding and improving parent-child relationships. It offers step-by-step guidance for parents to develop their unique parenting

The book was introduced by the translator, the editor of the Armenian translation, and an expert during the Morning Show on Armenia TV. Varduhi Mkrtchyan, the book's translator, shared that from the very beginning of reading, she felt like the book was describing her relationship with her child, including all the challenging moments and tantrums. “While reading, I also tried to apply the principles and methods presented in the book, and I saw that it worked. I had a strong desire to make this book accessible to the wider audience, so I decided to translate it”.

The editor of the Armenian translation of the book, Tatevik Nalbandyan, emphasizes that the authors of the book are essentially advocating for the traditional methods used by grandmothers. “Grandmothers often have a bit more time; they can sit down and listen to the child. They possess the wisdom of their years, knowing that sometimes all it takes is attentive listening. The authors of this book are, in essence, promoting the wisdom of our grandmothers: to listen carefully to the child, understand their emotions, and through calming and establishing an emotional connection, raise the child without resorting to yelling or dramatic confrontations”.

Eliza Manukyan, the founder of the “Kana” educational psychological center, believes that parents often underestimate the significance and responsibility of raising a child. She emphasizes that parents should equip themselves with knowledge. “This book is an accessible, easy read that equips parents with powerful tools. It's an excellent guide with practical steps. I mean, grab it, read it, implement it. Every parent should keep this book handy and follow these methods”.

The authors of this book are two American child psychotherapists, Daniel J. Siegel, and Tina Payne Bryson. “No-Drama Discipline” is filled with candid parenting stories and delightful illustrations. It provides guidance on resolving conflicts peacefully, and fortifying family bonds. The author-psychologists firmly believe that you can establish an emotional connection with your child, manage emotions, and transform challenging situations into opportunities for growth and development.
