Newmag conducted an interview with Yuval Noah Harari regarding the Armenian edition of the graphic book “Sapiens: A Graphic History - The Birth of Humankind”. The scientist personally oversees the publication of all his books. “Hello, my Armenian readers. I am glad that Newmag Publishing House translated Sapiens' graphic novel into Armenian. Join the journey of characters Zoe and Professor Saraswati, Dr. Fiction, and the rest as we explore the entire history of the different human species and how a seemingly insignificant ape became the ruler of planet Earth”.
During the adaptation of the book, it was necessary to create unique characters to serve as narrators and companions throughout the process. It was decided that the main storyteller and guide would be Yuval Noah Harari himself. The graphic novel is divided into two volumes, with Newmag presenting the first volume, which explores the birth of humanity.
The comic collection was illustrated by David Vandermeulen and Daniel Casanave, who skillfully depicted the constantly changing images, heroes, landscapes, and everything that needed to be presented in a single series of images.
