Annabelle Stedman
Annabelle Stedman (born 1992), known professionally as A. F. Stedman, is a British writer. She was educated at King's School, Canterbury, where she received a scholarship to study music and academics, and then studied languages and law at Selwyn College, Cambridge, where she earned an MA in creative writing from Cambridge. In 2020, Stedman signed a seven-figure contract for three books in a fantasy series about "bloodthirsty unicorns". This is believed to be the largest advance ever for a first-time children's author. The same week, Sony Pictures acquired the film rights. The first book in the "Skandar" series, "Skandar and the Unicorn Thief", was published in 2022.
