Edik Poghosyan

Edik Poghosyan (1972) is an award-winning graphic designer and artist, a graphic design expert and instructor at TUMO, art director of the publishing house since its founding, and poster designer at the Sundukyan National Academy. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Azad University in Tehran. He works as a freelance multidisciplinary visual artist. Contemporary art, graphic design, and visual poetry are his main activities. He has participated in numerous art and design festivals and exhibitions in France, Italy, Russia, Poland, Japan, Belgium, the USA, Iran, and Armenia. He has curated and directed numerous projects and exhibitions, such as the “Control+G” group poster exhibition (Iran), the “Paros” graphic design exhibition dedicated to the 1600th anniversary of the invention of the Armenian alphabet (Iran), the “Consequence: Artifact” art project (Artsakh and Armenia) dedicated to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the “In Search of the Absent” art project (Armenia) dedicated to the 44-day Artsakh war, the “Remembering Markos” memorial evening and the “Liberated Chair” performance dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the death of Markos Grigoryan. In 2022, he founded the Theatrical Posters-Armenia International Biennale. He curated the “Old Acquaintance, New Meeting” exhibition of Armenian graphic designers’ works in Iran.
