Ruben Melkonyan
Ruben Melkonyan (born in 1979) studied at the Turkish Studies Department of the Oriental Studies Faculty of YSU. In 2005 he defended his PhD thesis, in 2019 he defended his doctoral thesis and received the scientific degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences. Since 2003, he has been teaching at the Turkish Studies Department of YSU. He received the title of professor in 2018, and is the dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of YSU. He is the co-author and author of 2 university textbooks, seven monographs, and more than seven dozen scientific articles.
