Henrik Meinander

Henrik Meinander (b. 1960) is a professor and historian at the University of Helsinki. He was the head of the Finnish Institute in Stockholm. The scope of research includes the history of Finland and Scandinavia. He is the son of the famous archaeologist Karl Fredrik Meinander. Since 2002, he has been a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. His History of Finland has been translated into 16 languages.
