Laszlo Bock
Hungarian-American businessman Laszlo Bock is the co-founder and CEO of Humu. He previously served as Google's senior vice president of human resources. He was born in Romania in 1972. Before joining Google, Bock held senior positions at General Electric, a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, and held positions in startups and public organizations. During his time at Google, the company was recognized as a world-class workplace more than 30 times and received more than 100 awards as a top employer. HR Resources magazine recognized Bock as the "Human Resources Executive of the Year" (2010). Bock left his position in 2016, but continued to work as an advisor to the company's CEO Sundar Pichai. On April 7, 2015, Bock published his first book, "Work Rules," which became a bestseller in The New York Times and Wall Street Journal. The book is a practical guide that helps people find meaning in their work and change their approaches to life and leadership. Bock has traveled the world to promote the book, often accompanied by his family. In addition to his books, he also wrote the foreword to Cole Nussbaumer Knaflick's "Stories Through Data: A Guide to Data Visualization for Business."
