Ruslan Saghabalyan
Ruslan Saghabalyan (born 1951) is a novelist, playwright, and journalist. His multi-genre creative heritage includes science fiction, drama, and screenwriting for films, cartoons, and documentaries. He graduated from the Faculty of Russian Philology of Yerevan State University and the Higher Courses for Screenwriters and Directors of the USSR State Cinema. He was the head of the publicity and art department of the magazine "Literaturnaya Armenia", the editor-in-chief of the Russian supplement of the newspaper "Aragast" and some periodicals in Moscow. He was awarded the "Grand Prix" prize of the Kiev International Film Festival, the medal of the Moscow Writers' Union, and the international "Golden Word" prize of the Media Union. He is a member of the Writers' Union of Armenia and Moscow, and the author of more than 2,000 publications. Ruslan Saghabalyan's works have been translated into 15 languages.
