Vahagn Dadrian

Vahagn Dadrian (Tatrian) (1926-2019) was a prominent American Armenian scholar, jurist, historian, sociologist, and mathematician. Dadrian is one of the founders of Armenian Genocide studies and comparative genocide studies. He taught at New York University and was a senior fellow at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University and the Center for International Studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Vahagn Dadrian was the scientific director of the Genocide Studies Program at the Zoryan Institute in 1991. His fundamental works concern the history of the Armenian Genocide, issues of comparative genocide studies, and the analysis of legal and psychological aspects of genocide. Dadrian is the author of 22 monographs and 140 scientific articles written in different languages.
