In 2019, on May 22, Charles Aznavour's birthday, Newmag presented his first book "Clinging to Life" in Armenian edition. Then twice a year, on the birthdays and death anniversaries of the great chansonnier, the publishing house presented his books. Newmag decided to publish all works in Armenian until the 100th anniversary of Aznavour. This important mission has become a reality thanks to Amundi-Acba Asset Management. It is with their funding that the Armenian reader gets the opportunity to read and listen to Charles Aznavour in Armenian.
“The first joint work of the bank and Newmag publishing house in the framework of book printing was the first Armenian translation of the novel written by the national hero of Armenia, world famous chansonnier Charles Aznavour. After that, with the support of Acba Financial Group, the presentation of his books in Armenian to the Armenian society has continued”, emphasizes Ofelia Saghatelyan, Head of the marketing department of Acba Bank.
According to her, Acba Financial Group, represented by Acba Bank and Acba Leasing, as a francophone and a uniter of Armenian-French business cultures in Armenia, could not be absent from FRANCOFEST. “Highly emphasizing Newmag's contribution to the strengthening of Armenian-French cultural ties in recent years, we believe that the first festival of French-language books in Armenia is another important stage in the cultural rapprochement of our peoples.
