02/24/2025

The presentation of Arpi Karapetyan’s third book was a special occasion - a book launch and a birthday celebration rolled into one. The HR expert, consultant, and business trainer introduced her latest work, a unique guide to life’s most important lessons, at the Opera Suite Hotel, marking the day with flowers, gifts, and heartfelt moments.
With its bright green cover, distinctive design, and personal storytelling, the book delves into the fundamental principles of life, lessons the author learned as a child and now shares as she prepares to embrace grandmotherhood.
As the book neared completion, Arpi Karapetyan reached out to the people who would add their touch to this special project. One of the first to read it was Sergey Tantushyan, a lecturer at the American University of Armenia.
“I always sketch during meetings. Arpi knew this and said, ‘You should illustrate my book.’ And that’s how I became the illustrator of her first and now third book.”
Among the first readers was also Hasmik Vardanyan, HR Manager at Target Group, who shared her impressions:
“We all have personal stories, some we share only with our closest friends, while others we want the whole world to know. I believe this book contains exactly those stories that Arpi wanted to tell us. I was lucky to read the unedited version.”
Many attendees found themselves within the pages of "A small book about life's big lessons, or we've all been children”. One of them, Harutyun Arzumanyan, a professor at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, conductor, and the author's childhood friend, reflected on their shared past:
“Arpi and I have known each other since kindergarten. We remember our childhood with great warmth and nostalgia. Our building was home to many writers. I think that by reading this book, I will bring back memories that have faded, recalling the people whose stories are in these pages.”
According to Arpi Karapetyan, the most profound life lessons are learned at an early age. She encourages readers to explore their own past to better understand themselves and their motivations.
“The strongest, most fundamental lessons I learned came from my childhood. The book’s focus shifted over time. At first, I planned to write a professional book, but then I realized that I should write ten novels about the lessons from my early years. These lessons have shaped me and continue to guide my thoughts and actions, no matter how I evolve. This book is both a return to childhood and an exercise in self-discovery.”
Arpi Karapetyan is an internationally certified HR expert, coach, trainer, and consultant. She is the founder and CEO of Cascade People & Business and has been teaching at universities in Armenia and abroad for over 15 years.
When it came time to write her new book, she realized that the time for professional manuals would come later. For now, she wanted to capture the lifelong lessons that have guided her since childhood.
Published under the Newmag & Friends program, "A small book about life's big lessons, or we've all been children”is now available in all bookstores and on newmag.am.
