Newmag Winter Fest to Showcase Gohar Sargsyan’s Art Installation "Poetic Dialogue" (Photos)

Artist Gohar Sargsyan has created a unique project, “Poetic Dialogue”, which seeks to revive Western Armenian through contemporary art. Visitors to the book and art festival will have the opportunity to step into a poetic booth and experience the creative process, just like renowned Western Armenian poets.
This multimedia project offers an interactive experience where Western Armenian poetry comes to life in a modern setting. The key element of the installation is the Western Armenian Poetic Booth, a specially designed creative space that invites participants to engage with Western Armenian poetic heritage and even compose their own works. Sargsyan believes that everyone has an innate poetic voice that can be unlocked in the right environment.
The “Poetic Dialogue” project aims to:
- Showcase the lyrical and poetic richness of Western Armenian literature
- Increase interest in the Western Armenian language and culture
- Create a bridge between the legacy of Western Armenian poets and contemporary audiences
- Discover and encourage new poetic talents
Through this innovative installation, Gohar Sargsyan not only preserves Western Armenian but also actively revives it, fostering an environment where the language continues to thrive and develop in new creative forms.
The art installation will be on display at Dvin Music Hall on February 16, from 12:00 to 22:00. Admission is free.
