According to tradition, on February 19, the Book Giving Day was celebrated at the Yerevan Brandy Company. This year, in collaboration with Newmag, the company hosted a literary contest open to all employees.
The competition's outcomes were revealed at the Company during the Book Giving event. The awards ceremony took place at the ARARAT Museum. Anahit Gasparyan, Hasmik Yeganyan, Svetlana Hambardzumyan, Madlena Khachatryan, Manvel Tumanyan, Nelly Ghazaryan, Sergey Ghaltakhchyan, and Alexander Davtyan claimed top honors in the literary contest, showcasing outstanding achievements.
The contest, comprising 15 questions, encapsulated literary works from authors spanning various countries and epochs, exploring their influence on other art forms. Armenia's rich history and culture were prominently featured throughout the competition, with several questions delving into mentions of Armenia by renowned writers from around the world.
"Any phenomenon cannot evolve into a tradition without a heartfelt reception from the public. It's the people who embrace and uphold its principles that give value to the tradition. I'm delighted that celebrating "Book Giving Day" at the Yerevan Brandy Company has blossomed into yet another cherished tradition of fostering warmth and camaraderie among us. The team's enthusiastic participation and remarkable outcomes are truly impressive," remarked Sergey Khachatryan, Executive Director of the Yerevan Brandy Company.
"We are very happy that the Yerevan Brandy Company celebrates "Book Giving Day" not only by donating a book but also by showing a creative approach every year. This year's emphasis was on the exam approach and content of what was read. And we are pleasantly surprised both by the activity of participation and by the depth of knowledge of those who took the prize places," noted Artak Aleksanyan, the CEO of Newmag.
Sergey Khachatryan, Executive Director of the Yerevan Brandy Company, and Artak Aleksanyan, head of Newmag publishing house, also presented each other with a book.
