Cinema Star Armenia partners with Newmag throughout the year and across all festivals. As a leading platform for film screenings, Cinema Star supports cultural initiatives that have a clear vision, long-term impact, and resonate with modern audiences.

According to Gohar Nalbandyan, Head of Marketing and Advertising at the Cinema Star cinema network, it is essential for them to support events that create cultural value and foster dialogue.

“As a cinema network, we believe in the power of storytelling, regardless of the format. Books and cinema share the same mission, to convey ideas, emotions, and values. Newmag Winterfest creates that cultural platform, which is why supporting a festival that promotes reading and quality content felt like a natural choice for us.”

This year, Cinema Star will present several high-profile international and local premieres. The program also includes films based on literary works. Among them are “The Age of the Winds of Molech”, which will be released in Cinema Star theaters on February 12, “The Odyssey”, premiering on July 16, and “Dune: Part Three”, scheduled for December 17. These screenings once again demonstrate how powerful stories can reach audiences through different artistic formats.

“The collaboration between literature and cinema builds a bridge connecting two essential links in the same cultural chain. Literature develops deep ideas and complex characters, while cinema brings them to wider audiences through a new visual language. Partnerships like this strengthen that bridge, encourage the transition from book to screen, inspire creative dialogue, and stimulate cultural engagement.”

Through their partnership, Newmag Publishing House and Cinema Star Armenia offer book and film enthusiasts access to the latest developments in contemporary global literature and filmmaking, allowing audiences to read and watch modern stories simultaneously with the rest of the world.

According to Gohar Nalbandyan, one of the key goals is to create mutual interest, introducing readers to cinematic adaptations and encouraging moviegoers to discover the literary sources behind their favorite films.
