"Am I Guilty?" The incredible story of Margarita Gracheva's life in a new book and TV series

In December 2017, the young woman's husband, Dmitry Grachev, took Margarita to the forest and cut off both her hands. The doctors managed to save one of Margarita's wrists, and instead of the other one, a prosthesis, for which the whole world collected money. Margarita wrote about the story of her life in the book "Happy Without Hands" years ago.

The real story shocked the whole of Russia and the whole world so much that this year, based on the book, the TV series "Am I Guilty?" was also filmed. After hand surgeries and overcoming psychological trauma, Gracheva constantly participates in various TV shows, presenting her family and love tragedy, personal grief, and the difficulties of life without hands.

Just a few days ago, Gracheva presented her story in Ksenia Sobchak's "Caution: Sobchak" show. Gracheva says that despite her popularity and the great response to her story, she still feels vulnerable because her ex-husband's prison term will soon end. According to Sobchak, she does not know what to expect from the man who left her disabled. Moreover, the woman does not want the children under the age of 18 to communicate with their father.

"He accused me of treason. When he took out the ax, it seemed to me that he would cut off my legs and hands first, and then my head. To be honest, I didn't think that they would blame me after all this. Many people think that if you are treated like that, then it is your fault".

Gracheva said that she participated in the filming of the series, even during the most brutal scenes, she was present to make sure that everything was as real as it was.
