Every year, Newmag Publishing House uses its festivals to present not only new books but also timely and relevant publications. At Summerfest 2025, Newmag partnered with international financial services company Freedom Broker Armenia to showcase the third issue of the Financialist magazine.
The new edition was unveiled during a special panel discussion moderated by the magazine’s translator, Davit Sargsyan. This issue of Financialist is dedicated to children and the importance of financial education from an early age.

Gnel Nalbandyan, Editor-in-Chief of Newmag, shared that the publishing house has collaborated with Freedom Broker on multiple financial literacy initiatives, including book donations to regional libraries and training programs.
“Editing this magazine has significantly improved my own financial literacy. Experts present complex topics in simple and practical terms. This issue focuses on investing in children's futures and saving for them—topics that matter to every family.”
The issue features inspiring examples of children's business ventures that have grown into successful enterprises. The content is curated and translated to be accessible not just to financial professionals, but to a broad readership.
Haykaz Fanyan, Director of Modex Consulting, emphasized the importance of having an Armenian-language financial publication:
“In Armenia, we still lack the mindset that money isn’t just for spending—it should also be invested. The stories of Forbes billionaires show that most didn’t inherit wealth—they built it. This means that anyone, even without starting capital, can succeed. But the tools and strategies for building wealth are evolving, and this magazine helps decode those changes.”
Taron Hovhannisyan, Director of Private Equity Management at Freedom Broker Armenia, explained that when the company entered the Armenian market, their mission was not only to work with investors but to educate the wider public and raise financial literacy.
“Financial education is one of our key values. That’s why we’ve devoted this third issue to children. Investment is an exciting field—it’s all about access to the right information. Financialist offers that information in a clear, relevant way.”
Hovhannisyan also noted that Financialist is not a locally produced publication—it is created by Freedom Broker’s international team. More than 40 analysts contribute to each issue, offering global insights. The Armenian edition includes specially commissioned articles and analysis tailored to Armenia’s financial landscape and audience.
Financialist magazine is not for sale. Instead, it is distributed as a value-added resource through Newmag Publishing House. Festival visitors received complimentary copies of both the latest and previous issues of the magazine with every book purchase.
