This year, Newmag Summerfest will open with something special for young readers, the launch of the Dream Book Children’s Festival, co-organized by Newmag Publishing House and Yeraz Projects. The two-day festival, taking place on June 21–22, will feature the presentation of five new children’s books, alongside a vibrant entertainment program for kids.

This marks the fourth children’s book event organized by Newmag and Yeraz Projects, but it’s the first time the Dream Book Festival joins Summerfest. The featured books come from both Armenian and international authors and are part of Newmag’s signature “Dream” series, designed with age-appropriate fonts and layouts, and beautifully illustrated to engage young readers.

  • Book Presentations:

    • Ruslan Saghabalyan“School of 7 Galaxies”
    • Serenella Quarello & Alessio Alcini“Unexplored Encyclopedia”
    • Signe Viška“Kate Wanted to Be a Grandpa”
    • Lote Vilma“The Poet and the Smell”
    • Paul McCartney“Hey, Grandude!”

The presentations will be led by Gohar Manukyan, curator of the Dream Book series, together with young readers. Author Ruslan Saghabalyan will also be present to introduce his new sci-fi book.

Entertainment Program Highlights:

  • The festival kicks off with a musical flash mob at Yeraz Park, led by the “Hay Arev” ensemble, whose music will accompany both days of the festival.
  • Ayb School’s “New Identity” fashion club will showcase the Wishup brand, featuring a creative fashion collection inspired by Armenia’s forgotten cultural symbol, the dragon-stone (vishapakar).
  • To celebrate the Armenian edition of Paul McCartney’s children’s book, Ayb School’s “Rockestre” club, The Battle of Evermore band, will perform classic Beatles songs on both days.

Each day will conclude with an interactive theatrical performance in a dedicated zone of Yeraz Park, based on a beloved children’s story, promising a magical and immersive ending to the festival.

The Yeraz Book Festival invites families to discover new stories, enjoy music and art, and celebrate the joy of reading.
It’s more than a book event, it’s a festival of imagination.
