Newmag to Present Syune Sevada's Novel "Metal of Courage" at Newmag Winter Fest (Trailer)

Syune Sevada returns to the literary scene with “Metal of Courage”, a novel centered around an urban legend from 1990s Yerevan, an alleged video recorded at the Medical University, which serves as the story’s focal point.

The novel unfolds across two parallel timelines: the 1990s and the present day. At its core is a 28-year-old man struggling with post-traumatic stress and apathy. Through his journey, the author explores intergenerational connections, the lingering impact of the past, and the challenge of confronting painful memories.

“Metal of Courage” is Syune Sevada’s third book. Her literary journey began with the short story collection “Addiction” (2019), followed by the acclaimed novel “Salty Tea” (2022). A graduate of Yerevan State University’s Faculty of Journalism, Sevada first gained recognition in 2010 with a blog where she published short stories. Her works have since been translated and featured in international publications.
