2023 was a fruitful year for Newmag. We have published 40 books, and over 140 books during the 5 years of activity. Artak Aleksanyan, the CEO of Newmag, briefly presents the plans for 2024.
In 2024, Newmag will publish 52 books, the year will be marked by the visits of a record number of foreign writers. Authors of more than 10 bestsellers and a Nobel laureate will come to Armenia.
According to him, French geopolitics professor Frédéric Encel, the Nobel Prize winner Joseph Stiglitz, a well-known Finnish historian Henrik Meinander, British screenwriter and writer of detectives and thrillers Alex Michaelides, Georgian historian Davit Jishkariani, Bulgarian novelist and literary critic Georgi Gospodinov, Latvian writer Janis Jonevs and Argentinian writer Luciano Wernicke will visit Armenia.
In 2024, Newmag will celebrate Aznavour's 100th anniversary and Tigran Hayrapetyan's 60th anniversary with a special initiative. The publishing house will launch its new mobile application next year. Production of audiobooks is also planned. Newmag will also produce podcasts on both the app and the website. There are already the first 5 authors.
Next year, the publishing house will open its training center. Academy by Newmag is intended for professionals working in middle and high circles aged 25-45.
Newmag becomes more than just a book publisher.
