Why did you decide to join the Newmag Winter Fest?

Book Fests are an opportunity for each publisher to foster connections and meet insightful individuals who have what to say to each other and society. We like this format of the festival, besides, in the digital era, preserving and promoting reading culture in Armenia remains crucial. I am confident that the joint efforts we can bring good contributions to the future of our country and nation.

The bank has already published several books with the publishing house. Will the program of translation of modern foreign literature continue?

We value the ability to constantly learn and improve in a dynamically developing world, that's why we constantly follow the novelties of world literature related to the business sphere. The new publications that will attract our attention can become another opportunity for cooperation between Ardshinbank and the Newmag publishing house.

What corporate social responsibility programs does the bank implement?

Only in 2023, Ardshinbank implemented two big projects. The first of them is our cooperation with the "Soldier's House" rehabilitation center, within the framework of which considerable support was provided to the work of the rehabilitation center, and two charity concerts were organized with the soldiers who are under rehabilitation at the center. In addition, we decided to abandon Ardshinbank's corporate event, employees' New Year's gifts and direct the saved funds to cover the basic winter expenses of 100 families forcibly displaced from Artsakh, including communal and housing expenses. I would like to add that our activities in this context have been evaluated in the international arena as well. British financial magazine Euromoney awarded Ardshinbank 2 nominations in 2023. "Best corporate bank" and "Best Bank for ESG" (Best in social, environmental responsibility and corporate governance). This is both enjoyable and binding.

How important is it to encourage reading and is it part of the bank's corporate culture to present books to each other?

It is extremely important for us to support Armenian content. By sponsoring financial and business literature, we not only present the best global thought, but also enrich our financial and economic vocabulary along the way, and yes, every year, on the birthday of the great poet Hovhannes Tumanyan, our bank also follows the beautiful and useful tradition of book giving.
