The objective of this initiative is to offer a platform for writers from Artsakh, utilizing literature as a means to safeguard culture and transmit the Armenian heritage of Artsakh to future generations.
The prize will be conferred upon works of fiction or non-fiction. Participation in the competition is open to all Armenian writers from Artsakh who were displaced from the Republic of Artsakh between the 44-day war in 2020 and September 2023, with no age restrictions.
Required papers
Autobiography
A fragment of a literary work /15-30 pages/.
Terms
The same author can apply for only one work,
The work must not have been previously published.
It should be in Armenian, 12 font size, line spacing: 1.15.
Upon winning, the finalized submission to the publisher must consist of a minimum of 80 pages.
The application package should be emailed to info@newmag.am and include contact details. In the "subject" line, please specify: "For the Literary Contest."
Deadline for applications: April 30, 2024.

The winning author will be announced during the Newmag Summer Fest in June 2024. As a reward, Newmag will publish the book of the winning author and cover all associated publishing expenses.
