Newmag Summer Fest will present the main thriller of the summer:

At the book and art festival, Newmag will introduce this summer's top thriller,
According to The Bookseller, McManus is a true master of plot and intrigue, breathing new life into the detective genre. Critics praise the engaging and dynamic plot, which prompts readers to form hypotheses and solve puzzles.
Karen McManus, the American author of thrillers for young adults, has seen all her works become international bestsellers. Translated into 42 languages, McManus's books have collectively sold over 6 million copies worldwide. "One of Us is Lying" is McManus's first and most successful book, spending over 150 weeks on The New York Times bestseller list. Peacock adapted the novel, which later became the cornerstone of McManus's trilogy. "One of Us is Next" is the second installment, set one year after the events of the first book.
The trilogy began with a tragic incident. Five students were punished and confined to a room. One student was murdered, and the others were left to deal with the aftermath. Secondary characters from the first installment take center stage in the sequel. With the death of student Simon, a real nightmare unfolds.
Someone is coercing high school students to play an online game of Truth or Dare. Each victim must make a life-altering choice. Will they reveal their deepest, darkest secret to the entire school, or will they complete a perilous task? In "One of Us is Next," the characters must uncover who will be the next victim.
The general partner of the book is "Zangak" publishing. Two years ago, the publishing house teamed up with Newmag to publish Karen McManus's renowned trilogy in Armenian. The first book was a resounding success in Armenia, selling out immediately. Astghik Atabekyan translated both "One of Us is Lying" and "One of Us is Next" from English to Armenian.
If you enjoy high school drama, this book is for you. While the plot may seem predictable, the ending is anything but. This thriller is perfect for young adult readers interested in the murder mystery genre.
The presentation will take place at Newmag Summer Fest on June 23 at 4:30 pm in the Presentation Zone. Entry is free, and the book will be available for purchase at a discounted price.
