Newmag will present Astghik Sahakyan's
The book
Project Management from ground zero and with personal experience. The book encapsulates the author's extensive background, blending personal insights with practical wisdom gained over years of practice, learning, and teaching. Astghik Sahakyan meticulously unveils the intricacies of the modern profession, offering a comprehensive guide to overcoming obstacles and mastering the art of professional management in her debut book, "Project Management: From Idea to Value Creation."
Astghik Sahakyan is a graduate of the Faculty of Management at the French University in Armenia. She led large-scale procurement processes within the public sector and contributed to the Asian Development Bank. Astghik later transitioned to leading a significant IT project. Notably, she managed the construction project of the Bagratashen bridge on the Armenia-Georgia border. Since 2014, Astghik has been actively involved in project management education, initially serving as a lecturer at AUA for five years before branching out to offer independent training sessions for thousands of students and many prominent organizations. Almost all PMP certificate holders in Armenia have completed Astghik's courses. Furthermore, Astghik holds a pivotal role as a member of the Council of the Armenian Representation of the Institute of Project Management. Currently, Astghik is engaged in a significant endeavor as part of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, coordinating the reconstruction project of the Armenia-Iran checkpoint.
Today, project management is an important and sought-after profession. There are many resources and books in foreign languages, but there has not been an Armenian guide until now. This will help raise the knowledge and expertise of project management to a new level.
The presentation of Astghik Sahakyan's "Project Management" guide will take place at the Winter Festival on February 10, at 5 pm, at Dvin Music Hall. The general partner of the book is Evoca.
