Newmag Winter Fest 2024: 1 day, 4 new books, magazine, art show, concert programs (video)

The festival scheduled for February 10 at Dvin Music Hall promises to be unlike any other. Newmag Publishing House has transformed its 3rd winter festival into a vibrant celebration of literature and art. Alongside book presentations, attendees can enjoy theater performances, poetry recitals, musical performances, and art exhibitions. Gohar Manukyan, Head of Strategic and Special Projects at Newmag highlights that the Artsakh State Jazz Orchestra will kick off the festival's official opening, followed by a performance by the "Taluys" Choir from Tavush. “Additionally, four new book launches are scheduled, alongside a special poetry evening featuring the works of Avet Barseghyan, complemented by musical renditions by guest performers”.

"PROFAL GROUP" joined the Newmag Winter Fest this year. According to Sosi Demirchyan, Deputy Director of Marketing, the company values such festivals. During the whole day, “PROFAL GROUP” will have a brand booth. "This festival has an important mission: to awaken love for books, culture, and art. That is why we joined this idea and became a general sponsor of the festival. We believe that an educated society is the basis of the country's development. We will be there all the time; we will have our corner where visitors can rest and read a book."

Ani Hakobyan, Head of the Festival program of the Publishing House, singles out the art show from the agenda. Visitors can enjoy the works of the most unique artists. Designer, jeweler, sculptor, and artist Arman Nur's "From Inside" collections, "Communication Crisis" collections by Tigran Tsitoghdzyan, as well as Ilya Vardanyan's digital installation will be presented. "It will be called "Digital Dreams". The exhibition will be presented by Ilya Vardanyan, who is a photographer for famous fashion magazines. The creative genius behind the "Dreams of Armenia" exhibition is currently expanding his artistic horizons into the realm of digital art”.

According to Gnel Nalbandian, Editor-In-Chief of Newmag, the content is the culture. "We decided to support writers displaced from Artsakh to publish their works. There is still a need to form a committee that will conduct the selection in a controlled and transparent manner. We will help them publish their works, as well as support their promotion plans”.

According to Inna Hovhannisyan, director of the "Tovmasyan" charitable foundation, and the co-organizer of the Fest, their potential is aimed at the development of culture, literature, art, and sports. "Our foundation has been engaged in the development of this field for twenty years. We are very happy that we are also participating in this program for Artsakh writers. The winner will be announced at the Newmag Summer Festival. This is another step for the preservation of cultural heritage."
