Newmag Publishing in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Armenia and announce the launch of a new translated book series titled “Pulitzer”, dedicated to introducing Armenian readers to Pulitzer Prize–winning fiction and nonfiction in honor of the United States’ 250 th year of independence.

The “Pulitzer” series aims to expand access in Armenia to some of the most influential and widely discussed works in contemporary American writing - books that have shaped public conversation, elevated literary excellence, and explored the complexities of society, history, and human experience.

As part of this collaboration, Newmag Publishing will lead the editorial and publishing process, ensuring high-quality Armenian translations and thoughtful local editions. The U.S. Embassy will support the initiative through outreach and cultural programming, including public discussions, reader roundtables, media outreach, and visibility across Embassy platforms. The Embassy’s support is non-financial and focuses on helping the series reach a wider audience and celebrate 250 years of American excellence.

“This series is about more than books - it’s about connection,” said Nathan F. Austin, Public Diplomacy Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Armenia. “Pulitzer Prize–winning works offer windows into America’s ideas, history, and stories. We are proud to support ‘Pulitzer’ and to work with Newmag to bring American voices to Armenian readers.”

“Newmag has always believed that translations are a form of cultural infrastructure,” said Artak Aleksanyan, CEO of Newmag Publishing. “With ‘Pulitzer,’ we’re building a long-term library of landmark titles—fiction and nonfiction—that will enrich Armenian intellectual life and broaden readers’ horizons.”
