Fantasy lovers, rejoice: the presentation of Christina Simonyan’s novel The Secret of the Full Moon will take place on October 24. The book is suitable for readers aged 12 and up. Attendees can purchase the novel at the event with a special discount and receive the author’s signature.

Christina Simonyan is a specialist in international relations with a lifelong passion for creativity. Gifted with a vivid imagination since childhood, she has long been fascinated by the connection between the human soul, the universe, and the supernatural. Later, she studied psychoanalysis and self-development, participating in courses focused on

personal growth and transformation. Certified in these fields, she has conducted workshops and online programs for young people. She also enjoys reading and singing jazz.

Drawing on years of study and personal growth, Simonyan has crafted a story where reality and myth intertwine with elements of magical realism. As the author explains, the narrative unfolds like a mosaic, with each part containing a hidden key. “The novelist Vardges Petrosyan once said: ‘Have your own fairy tale.’ I decided to follow his advice,” she notes.

The Secret of the Full Moon reveals its mysteries gradually. The heroine’s journey in search of her father is filled with thought-provoking events that guide both her and the reader. Each character and name along the way holds a hidden meaning, a key that opens another door in the story’s intricate puzzle.

As mythologist Professor Joseph Campbell observed, when a hero sets out to find a lost father, he is allegorically seeking his own identity and forging his destiny. In finding her father, the heroine ultimately finds herself.

The novel is also an intimate exploration of family, friendship, love, and human relationships, reflecting the subtle and profound realities of life. Scattered throughout the heroine’s journey are “pearls” - wise thoughts printed in italics - that illuminate the book’s deeper message.

The presentation is part of the Newmag & Friends program and will take place on October 24 at 7:00 PM at Common Ground Books & Spirits. Admission is free.

But who is the heroine truly searching for? As mythologist Professor Joseph Campbell notes, when a hero sets out on a quest to find their lost father, they are, in fact, embarking on a symbolic journey to discover their own identity and shape their destiny. The author has followed the advice of prose writer Vardges Petrosyan: “Have your own fairy tale.” And so, she has written hers.
