BOOK, WINE, JAZZ / Newmag Summerfest 2025 Returns with a Two-Day Celebration of Literature, Music, and Culture (Teaser)

For the first time, Summerfest will combine the elegance of literature with the rich flavors of Armenian wine and the soulful sounds of jazz. The publishing house’s children’s event will also join the festivities this year.

The Festival Program

The two-day event kicks off at 5:00 PM with Kids Fest, featuring five new children’s books, musical performances, and a kids’ show. At 7:00 PM, the second part of the festival begins, unveiling this summer’s most anticipated titles.

New Book Presentations

• “Aprel” – a new short story collection by bestselling Armenian author Narine Abgaryan
• “Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life” by Arnold Schwarzenegger
• “Mbappé”, a biography by top sports writer Luca Caioli
• “One of Us Is Back”, the thrilling final part of Karen McManus’s globally bestselling YA trilogy
• “Britt-Marie Was Here” by internationally acclaimed author Fredrik Backman

Panel Discussions

• Day 1: “Money Talk: Financial Literacy” with Evoca Bank
• Day 2: “Finance Talk” and the launch of Financier Magazine, co-organized by Freedom Broker Armenia

Live Jazz Performances

The Jazz Association of Armenia, a main partner of Summerfest, brings rhythm to the heart of Yeraz Park. Expect jazz sets by Vahagn Martirosyan (DJ), Dialog Project & A. Chilla, and Artyom Manukyan & Friends.

Wine Tastings & Culture

This year’s key highlight: wine tastings from Armenia’s leading winemakers. Participating wineries include:

Each will share their stories, offer tastings, and sell their wines on-site throughout the event.

Young Writers Competition

At the official closing, Newmag will announce the winner of the Young Writers Literary Competition, launched during Winterfest 2024. The winning work will be published at Winterfest 2025.
