Newmag presents Narine Kroyan's new book "The Time of the Flies" (trailer)

Continuing her exploration of strong yet vulnerable women, a theme skillfully portrayed in her previous works, Kroyan introduces readers to Sona. As Sona embarks on a quest to locate her son and husband amidst the chaos of war, she encounters treacherous officers and an enemy disguised as a fellow Armenian soldier.

She sees death, destruction and brutality, faces difficulties and thinks not only about her servant son but also about her captured husband. Adding to the family drama is Sona's unexpected pregnancy. Does she find her son, and return her husband, what happens to the heroes of the novel on the most difficult day for Armenians, November 9?

According to the writer, the war is not over, after all, we have a debt to pay to the orphans. Narine Kroyan quotes Kafka: the book is a hammer with which we must break the frozen sea inside us.

Narine Kroyan was born and currently lives in Vanadzor. She is a teacher at the Lori Regional State College and has a PhD in Economics. Three years ago, Newmag published Kroyan's book "Bella Belladonna".

The general partner of the book is the "Renaissance" Foundation. The launch of the novel "The Time of the Flies" will take place on March 20, 7 pm at the Common Ground Literary Cafe as part of Newmag's Female Authors Month.
