At Summerfest 2026, Newmag will present Alexandre Dumas’ legendary novel “The Three Musketeers” (trailer)

For almost two centuries, the story of D’Artagnan, Athos, Porthos and Aramis has continued to inspire generations of readers. The adventures of the four heroes have gone beyond the pages of the novel, becoming a universal symbol of friendship, loyalty, courage and honor.

“The Three Musketeers” is considered one of Dumas’ most dynamic, humorous and politically layered works. The novel was first published in installments in a newspaper, and its popularity was so great that readers eagerly awaited every new chapter. Today, it remains one of the most iconic examples of historical adventure literature.

The famous motto “One for all, all for one” has become a global symbol of solidarity and friendship. It reflects the spirit of the novel, where the heroes face palace intrigues, dangerous missions and countless challenges together.

Although the title refers to “The Three Musketeers,” the story has four central characters. Dumas himself acknowledged that the title was not entirely logical, but believed that its unusual nature would make readers curious about the book.

The opening of Newmag Summerfest 2026 will be inspired by the world of “The Three Musketeers.” Before the presentation, the audience will enjoy a performance by the “Sword Dance” ensemble, while a fencing demonstration show will bring Dumas’ adventurous atmosphere to life on the festival stage.

A symbol of French classical literature, “The Three Musketeers” will be presented to Armenian readers for the first time in a complete translation directly from the original French. The translation is by Samvel Gasparyan. The main partner of the book is VTB Bank Armenia.

Newmag’s edition allows Armenian readers to discover Dumas’ masterpiece in its complete form, without translation through intermediary languages.
