Social responsibility as an important and integral part of Ardshinbank's activity
Ardshinbank, one of Newmag's long-term partners, joined the Winter Fest as a general sponsor. This decision is one of the important milestones in the bank's corporate social responsibility calendar this year.
The year 2023 for Ardshinbank was marked by a number of awards and nominations from prestigious international companies. Ardshinbank was named "Bank of the Year" for the fourth time in Armenia by The Banker magazine, as well as "Best Bank", "Best Corporate Bank" and "Best ESG Bank (best in social, environmental responsibility and corporate governance)" by the prestigious Euromoney magazine. At the same time, Ardshinbank's Private Banking was recognized as the best in Armenia by Global Banking & Finance Review magazine, and Asian Banking & Finance magazine recognized Ardshinbank as the "Best Retail Bank in Armenia".
Ardshinbank has numerous social responsibility initiatives. It has a long and successful history of financing cultural and educational development, the bank actively supports the "Soldier's House" rehabilitation center and participates in various charity projects, including international ones.
Newmag started cooperating with Ardshinbank in 2019. The bank supported the publication of the "100 Monologues" book project. During the 2020 pandemic and with the support of the publishing house, the bank presented books to its best customers to read during the lockdown.
In 2021, the bank collaborated with the publishing house to unveil Milton Friedman's seminal work, “Capitalism and Freedom” in Armenian. Then, on Book Giving Day in 2022, the bank organized a book competition among its customers, awarding Newmag books to the winners.
The partnership in 2023 continued to grow. This time, the impetus to publish a book came from the bank. With Ardshinbank's suggestion and support, Newmag translated and published Erin Meyer's book "The Culture Map" in Armenian.
According to the Chairman of the Management Board of Ardshinbank, the economy and culture are closely intertwined, serving as indicators of a country's status—one through quantitative measures and the other through qualitative assessments.
