Avetis Harutyunyan

Avetis Harutyunyan was born in 1997. He received his Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the Bryusov University and a Master's in Political Science & International Affairs (PSIA) from the American University of Armenia. In 2015, Avetis studied Creative Writing at the University of IOWA in the United States. He started his career in 2018 at the Armenia TV Company, in the news program called "The Hour" as a broadcast journalist and news anchor. In 2021, he received "Journalist of the Year" Award for covering the 44-day war in the international press. Avetis Harutyunyan has been working at newmag since 2018, first as a Head of Special Projects and from 2022 as a Deputy CEO.
