David Sargsyan

David Sargsyan (born in 1988) pursued his academic studies at the Department of Arabic Studies within the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Yerevan State University (YSU). He further strengthened his linguistic expertise by completing Arabic language courses at Cairo University in Egypt. He later earned a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies from YSU’s Faculty of Oriental Studies. In 2014, David participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) of the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. In 2017, he was selected for the John Smith Trust Fellowship, which included professional engagements in London and Edinburgh, United Kingdom. David began his professional career in 2012 as a journalist and news anchor at Armnews TV Company. From 2015 to 2023, he served as Senior Political Correspondent in the News Department of Armenia TV, specializing in international affairs and Armenian foreign policy. From 2023 to 2026, he led the Communications Team at The FUTURE ARMENIAN Development Foundation. Beginning in 2026, David oversees the communications efforts of the Afeyan Initiatives for Armenia (AIFA) Foundation, where he is responsible for developing and implementing the organization’s communications strategy. Fluent in English, Russian, and Arabic, David brings extensive linguistic, analytical, and media expertise to his professional endeavors.
