David Sargsyan

David Sargsyan, born in 1988, pursued his academic studies at the Department of Arabic Studies within the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Yerevan State University (YSU). He furthered his linguistic proficiency by undertaking Arabic language courses at the University of Cairo in Egypt. His academic journey culminated in obtaining a Master’s Degree in Islamic Studies from YSU's Faculty of Oriental Studies. In 2014, David participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program of the State Department in Washington, D.C., USA. Following this, in 2017, he engaged in a program arranged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, focusing on foreign policy journalism. The same year, he was selected for the John Smith Trust Fellowship Program, which took him to London and Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. David commenced his professional career in 2012 as a journalist and anchor at Armnews TV Company. From 2015 to 2023, he served as a senior political correspondent for Armenia TV's News Department, specializing in international affairs and Armenian foreign policy coverage. Since April 2023, he has been at the helm of the Communication team at The FUTURE ARMENIAN Development Foundation. Fluent in English, Russian, and Arabic, David brings a wealth of linguistic and journalistic expertise to his endeavors.
