Diana Hambardzumyan
Diana Hambardzumyan (born 1961) is an Armenian prose writer, translator, Doctor of Philology, and professor. She graduated with honors from the English Department of the Valery Bryusov Institute of Foreign Languages in 1983 and has taught at Bryusov State University since 1984, where she is a professor at the Department of English Communication and Translation. Hambardzumyan is the author of 24 books and has received numerous literary and translation awards. Her stories have been translated into English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Georgian, Persian, Romanian, Arabic, Korean, Ukrainian, and Croatian. She has presented papers at national and international conferences and published scholarly articles in Armenian, Russian, and English in Armenian and international journals. She is also the compiler and editor of Munetik, a multilingual literary-translation student almanac published at Yerevan State University.
