Gohar Amirbekyan

Gohar Amirbekyan graduated from the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Languages ​​of Yerevan State University and received a qualification as a philologist and specialist in French. She taught French in several schools in Armenia. From 1979 to 1986, she worked at the “Mankavarzh” newspaper of the Kh. Abovyan Pedagogical Institute of Yerevan, as a responsible secretary. From 1987 to 2019, she worked at the Institute of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia as a methodologist. Then she moved to the publishing department of the same institution as an editor-proofreader. Gohar Amirbekyan translated the stories of Andre Maurois, “The Return of the Prisoner”, “The Cloak”, the play “Misunderstanding” by Albert Camus, a fairy tale in verse by Michel Hamlin, “My King Father”.
