Ruzan Yordanyan
Ruzan Yordanyan (born in 1953) graduated from the Department of German Studies of Yerevan Linguistic University named after V.Ya. Brusov. She worked at Dilijan School No. 6 as a German teacher, then as a deputy director. In 1977, she worked at the Department of Foreign Languages of the State Medical Institute in Barnaul, the capital of the Altai Territory, and taught Latin and German. In 1982, she returned to Armenia with her family and started working at Secondary School No. 8 in Abovyan as a teacher, then as a methodologist and head of the methodological department of the Abovyan city education department, and then was appointed director of the Abovyan city college. Ruzan Yordanyan translated Wolfgang Gust's "The Armenian Genocide: The Tragedy of the Oldest Christian People", then Jochen Mangelsen's "Ophelia's Long Journey to Berlin" and the same author's play on the Armenian Genocide. 2005 -2009. She translated two more voluminous books from Gust. In 2009, the Presidential Award was awarded to Wolfgang Gust, the author of the documentary book "The Armenian Genocide 1915/1916", which she translated.
