Father Haykazun Sahakyan

Father Haykazun (Vahan) Sahakyan (born 1988) graduated from the Faculty of Electronics and Microelectronics of the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, receiving a Bachelor's degree. He also graduated with honors from the Gevorgyan Theological Seminary, receiving a Master's degree in Theology. He served as the head of the Department of Propaganda and Public Relations of the Higher Spiritual and Educational Institutions of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, as well as as an editor in the Publishing Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. He lectured on the subjects of "Christian Doctrine of the Armenian Apostolic Church" and "Introduction to Theology" at the spiritual and educational institutions. In 2020, he was ordained a priest and called to serve as a spiritual pastor at the Holy Cross Church in Mineralnye Vody, Armenian Diocese of Krasnodar and the North Caucasus. He is engaged in Armenology and theology, is the author of scientific articles, editor and translator, and is a member of the International Association for Armenian Studies (AIEA). His translation from Russian of Athenagoras of Athens’ “On the Resurrection of the Dead” has been published (2022). From English, Clive Staples Lewis’s book “Pure Christianity” (2023).
