Armenia hosted AGBU’s prestigious FOCUS 2025, bringing together nearly 600 young Diaspora Armenians from around the world. Held for the first time in Yerevan, FOCUS 2025 served as a vibrant platform for young Armenians to deepen and redefine their connection with their homeland.
The multi-day event featured cultural excursions, thematic discussions, and networking opportunities, all aimed at strengthening ties between the Armenian Diaspora and the Republic of Armenia.

As part of the forum’s agenda, Newmag Publishing House Director Artak Aleksanyan met with participants and delivered a talk on Armenia’s publishing landscape. Aleksanyan introduced Newmag’s mission and activities, emphasizing the company’s commitment to knowledge dissemination and cultural enrichment.
He also spoke about Newmag’s role in organizing major literary festivals throughout the year. “Publishing isn’t just about printing books, it’s about building intellectual capital. Stories have real power: they unite communities and shape societies.”

“For the past 15 years, we’ve focused on expanding Armenia’s intellectual space. In just seven years since launching our book publishing division, we’ve published over 200 titles, Armenian and international bestsellers, popular science works, and motivational books for readers of all ages and interests,” Aleksanyan noted.

The forum concluded with a celebratory gala in Yerevan. The next AGBU FOCUS gathering is scheduled to take place in two years.
