Avetik Isahakyan’s House-Museum presented a special book edition on Armenia TV’s "Good Morning" program, celebrating the 150th anniversary of Isahakyan’s birth in the scope of the Newmag & Friends series.

Titled "Avo, Do I Drop the Whip…?”, the book brings together humorous memories and anecdotes from 42 of Isahakyan’s contemporaries, collected by author and museum curator Ruzanna Mesropyan.

“The Master believed that good humor invigorates the soul, and this collection gives readers a heartfelt, lively picture of who he was as a person. While many are familiar with his literary work, this book reveals his human side and his unique, Gyumri-born gift for storytelling.”

The title,"Avo, Do I Drop the Whip…?", is drawn from one of the book’s satirical stories. Alongside the stories, the book features both well-known and rare photographs of Isahakyan—sharing moments with friends, behind the wheel, or dancing at picnics.

Armenuhi Avetisyan, director of the Isahakyan House-Museum, explained the intent behind the project:

“We often mythologize our literary figures, distancing them from us. This collection brings Isahakyan closer, showing his emotions, his strengths, and his quirks. Our visitors, both young and old, are always captivated by these personal stories.”
